Tom McCarthy

Mr. McCarthy, an Associate Engineer at Wildermuth Environmental, Inc. (WEI), has 13 years of professional engineering experience, working in the private and public sectors. His expertise includes water resources engineering, water resources planning, numerical modeling, and data management. The majority of Mr. McCarthy’s experience is concentrated in the area of water resources engineering and planning with a specialized focus in the optimization of well field operations in consideration of operational constraints, such as surface water interaction, ecological conditions, and legal constraints.

Prior to joining the WEI team, Mr. McCarthy was employed as an Associate Engineer at the Mammoth Community Water District from 2005 to 2006 and as a Senior Engineer at MWH Americas, Inc. from 1998 to 2005. Mr. McCarthy also served on the Board of Directors of the Meadow Creek Mutual Water Company.

Mr. McCarthy received a B.S. in Geological Sciences from the University of Oregon in 1996 and an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering with an emphasis in water resources from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1998. He is a member of the California Groundwater Resources Association, the American Water Works Association, and the American Geophysical Union. Mr. McCarthy is a registered professional civil engineer and a registered professional geologist in the State of California.
