Michael Cruikshank

Mr. Cruikshank has over two years of professional experience in water resources and the geological sciences. His technical expertise includes hydrogeologic basin analysis, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and conceptual groundwater basin model development.

As a Staff Scientist in the Hydrogeology Department, Mr. Cruikshank assists in the development of conceptual groundwater basin models, including preparatory efforts, such as defining aquifer parameters; creates graphics that accurately and artfully display modeling results; and analyzes lithologic and hydraulic data. Specifically, he has provided key support in the following projects: the Arlington Desalter Expansion Feasibility Study, the Beaumont Basin Groundwater Recharge Reuse Project, the Chino Basin Watermaster 2007 Groundwater Model Documentation and Evaluation of the Peace II Project, the Recharge Feasibility on the Cucamonga Debris Cone Investigation, and the Chino Groundwater Basin Dry-Year Yield Program Expansion.

Mr. Cruikshank received a B.S. in Geological Sciences from California State University, Fullerton in 2006. His senior thesis was presented at the 2006 NGWA Ground Water Summit where he earned the NGWREF Farvolden Award for the best undergraduate presentation. He is continuing his education at California State University, Fullerton, working towards an M.S. in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
